Klimt02 Gallery presents for JOYA 2011 a selection of pieces from the new collection 2011-2012: "Barcelona Jewellery: Found in Translation", or how the Barcelona experience influenced the work of 8 jewellery artists.
The collection takes Barcelona as a topic, not as a geographic location, but as a reference, as an opportunity to express the dichotomy between local and global, traditional and contemporary, individual and collective...
The artists that take part in this collection are: Marta Boan (Barcelona, 1976), Kepa Carmona (Bilbao, 1969), Gemma Draper (Barcelona, 1971), Emiliana Design Studio (Ana Mir, Valencia, 1969, i Emili Padrós, Barcelona, 1969), Marc Monzó (Barcelona, 1973), Ramon Puig (Mataró, 1953), Estela Sáez (Girona, 1977) and Rinaldo Álvarez (Luarca, 1971).
